Travels

I am passionate about traveling.  I am fortunate to have a father who has taken me on many trips to discover beautiful places. I like to discover different cultures, traditions, and gastronomic specialties because they help me appreciate what I have and understand who I am.  I hope to be able to travel extensively when the pandemic is behind us.

Kenya

I participated in an organized road trip in Kenya.  In addition to driving many hours to discover beautiful places in this country, we slept at hotels surrounded by exotic wildlife. During a night safari, we were able to see a lioness carrying her child in her mouth from a distance of fewer than 2 meters. We also saw other animals and unusual insects such as giant ants while visiting the Maasai tribe. And finally, we were treated to one of the most beautiful landscapes and sunsets.

United States

Touring the Pacific Coast of the U.S. left me a strong impression of how large the country is and that the landscapes and cities are vastly different from Europe.  San Francisco is a city where it is often misty, breezy, and cool, even in summer with many hills. The redwoods near the city were tall, massive, and imposing.  Once we left San Francisco, the climate turned much more arid, and the hills were somewhat bare.  Los Angeles was a city covered with retail shops, buildings, highways, cars, and more cars.  We enjoyed celebrity-sighting in Beverly Hills.  Then we headed to Las Vegas, a glitzy metropolis in the middle of a desert. I was amazed to see the city exactly as I had seen in the movies: lights, casinos, limousines.  Everything I remembered from them was there! A ride in a stretch limousine in Las Vegas at night was a fun experience.

Corsica

For some reason, I didn't expect Corsica to be an exciting trip, but it was phenomenal.  I am an avid scuba diver, and Corsica is extraordinary for diving. Its turquoise water offers clear visibility of the seabed farther below. I dove at a depth of 20 meters in Bonifacio, south of Corsica, during a boat trip.
